This year, we’ve extended the event until 2:00 PM, allowing families more time to enjoy our expanded Kid Zone sponsored by Bridge Community Church, live music, and a variety of food trucks.

This year the race will directly benefit our Mind and Motion Plus Youth Program, in partnership with the Meriden New Britain Berlin YMCA, is dedicated to helping teens overcome challenges such as anxiety, communication issues, and lack of motivation. Our program focuses on empowering youth to improve their communication skills, set meaningful goals, and engage in physical activities that build confidence and resilience.

Meet Our Emcee
Listen To AllieAllison will be our dynamic Emcee for the 3rd Annual 5K, bringing over 30 years of broadcasting experience across radio, TV, and print. Known for her work on the “Allan, Mike and Allison” morning show on Lite 100.5 WRCH and as co-host of the KC 101 Morning Show with Glenn Beck, she currently energizes audiences as the midday host on The River 105.9 WHCN. With an impressive career interviewing celebrities from Andrea Bocelli to Jon Bon Jovi and being named one of the top 10 female radio broadcasters for “LIVE with Kelly and Mark,” Allison’s flair for communication is undeniable. An accomplished vocalist and experienced international speaker, she has toured with Jim Brickman, opened for Tony Award winner Betty Buckley, and participated in mission work around the world. Her passion for storytelling and service makes her the perfect voice to lead our event.

Meet Isabella
Here Bella SingIsabella, "Bella", is excited to be a part of the DK Movement Cares family singing the National Anthem ahead of the race. She has been singing and performing since she could talk! Bella has performed in many theater productions for CT Performing Arts Center and has also performed in A Christmas Carol, A Ghost Story of Christmas at Hartford Stage. She began performing the National Anthem at several USL Hartford Athletic soccer games in 2024 and will be performing again in 2025. In addition, you can catch Bella performing the National Anthem for the WNBA's CT Sun this summer. Bella will be entering middle school in the fall.
